Privacy Policy

This page describes what EzyPlayer does with your information. It is a supplement to the Ezysphere Privacy Policy, which applies to every Ezysphere product and sets out your rights, the providers we use, international transfers, retention periods, security and how to complain. Read them together. Where the two genuinely conflict, this page prevails for EzyPlayer only — it never gives you fewer rights than the main policy does.
This Privacy Policy explains how Ezysphere ("we", "us") handles information when you use the EzyPlayer mobile application (the "App") - a local video player with optional social features.
1. Your Videos Stay on Your Device
EzyPlayer plays the videos already stored on your device. Your media library is never uploaded to us or any server for playback. Browsing and watching happen entirely on your device.
2. Information We Collect
- Anonymous session. To power social features, the App creates an anonymous account with our backend provider, Supabase. This does not require your name or email.
- Social content. When you use Watch Together, reactions, or voice notes, the data needed to share that activity - including any voice recordings you make and playback sync signals - is sent to Supabase so participants can receive it.
- App settings. Your in-app preferences are stored locally on your device.
3. How We Use Information
- To play your local videos and remember your settings.
- To synchronise Watch Together sessions and deliver reactions and voice notes to the people you're watching with.
- To maintain reliability and security of the social features.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your data. Social-feature data is processed by Supabase (backend, real-time sync, storage) under its own terms. Content you share through Watch Together, reactions, or voice notes is visible to the other participants in that session.
5. Data Retention
Voice notes and social content are retained to provide the feature and can be removed on request. Anonymous sessions and their associated social data can be deleted - see our data deletion page.
6. Your Choices
You can use EzyPlayer purely as a local player and simply not use the social features. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored settings.
7. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date will change accordingly.
